More than 400
institutions and nearly 30 academic partners have now joined hands with
the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in its convergence
scheme.
The projected growth
of IT industry and the news of recession fading away seem to have
boosted the sale of EAMCET engineering applications this year. Out of
the 1.7 lakh applications sold so far, 1.5 lakh are of the engineering
course and the remaining 20,000 are of the medical stream.
Candidates who have
studied Intermediate privately and are seeking attendance exemption for
the advanced supplementary examinations to be held in May-June this
year can avail of the facility paying Rs. 500 exemption fee, apart from
the regular examination fee.
