Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, is one of the fast growing cities in India. Renowned as the “City of Pearls”, Hyderabad is located 536 meters above sea level on the southern bank of the Musi River. Hyderabad, along with Secunderabad, forms a twin city, separated by Hussain Sagar Lake - an artificial lake build in the 16th century.

The city’s fame rests on the Charminar and its bazaars. Built by Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah of Qutub Shahi dynasty in 1591, Charminar is one of the major historical monuments in India. Situated adjacent to Charminar is Mecca Masjid – one of the world’s largest mosques. Golconda Fort, Qutub Shahi Tombs, Salar Jung Museum, Public Garden, Sri Venkateshwara Temple, Birla Planetarium, Osmania University, Paigah Tombs, Nehru Zoological Park, Indira Park, Buddha Statue, and Hussain Sagar are some of the other major tourist attractions in Hyderabad.

The Golconda Fort was once well known as the Diamond market in India. This huge granite fort, which dates back to the early 13th century, is constructed on a granite hill, which is around 120 meters high. The Royal Tombs of Qutub Shahi kings are lie almost half a km from the Golconda Fort. Mecca Masjid mosque is the biggest mosque in south India and is said to have the bricks from Mecca, which is placed on the top of the central arch. The Salar Jung Museum houses the artistic achievements of diverse European, Asian, Indian, Middle Eastern, and Far Eastern countries of the world. The museum artifacts are displayed in 38 galleries on two floors. Birla Mandir, also known as Sri Venkateshwara Temple, is a beautiful white marble temple built with the combination of architectural styles of the northern and southern Indian temples. Nehru Zoological Park, one of the biggest zoos in India, is home to more than 250 species of animals and birds.

The hotels in Hyderabad are mainly aimed to provide a comfortable stay for tourists as well as business travelers. Majority of the hotels in the city provide a beautiful view of the Charminar. Hotel Taj Krishna and ITC Hotel Kakativa Sheraton and Towers are among the leading 5 star deluxe hotels in Hyderabad. Taj Banjara, Taj Residence, Tulip Manohar and Viceroy are among the finest 5 star hotels in the city. Four star hotels such as the Green Park and the Amrutha Castle and 3 star hotels such as The Golconda, and the Central Court are also offer outstanding accommodation facilities in Hyderabad.
