Hyderabad, the capital
city of Andhra Pradesh is the fifth largest city of India. The city was
founded by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, Sultan of the Qutb Shahi dynasty,
in 1590. A multitude of influences have shaped the character of the
city and today it is known as the city of pearls, lakes and, lately,
for IT Companies. Its palaces and buildings, houses and tenements,
gardens and streets have a history and an architectural individuality
of their own.

When pop legend Elton John took the
stage at Manhattan's Madison Square Garden for his 60th birthday
performance in March this year, there was more to the knockout,
history-making concert than met the eye. Quite expectedly, the famous
New York arena was choc-a-bloc with over 20,000 Elton fans, including
dozens of A-list celebrities.

The famed Hakoba
fashion galleries chain celebrated its 50 years of existence in a
unique way. In 2003, it inaugurated a new showroom of its intricate
embroidery in Secunderabad. Pioneer Embroideries Ltd which owns the
Hakoba brand, began with three exclusive fashion galleries in Mumbai
and the fourth in Secunderabad is virtually the first outside Mumbai.
There is obviously a huge potential for some traditional yet intricate
fashion in the city.

I havebeen living in Hyderabad for the past six years.
Otherthan my hometown,this is the
only place which i call my home,with lot of love,proud.Though i have
travelled all over india,and lived at various places,for a couple of
years.Only because circumstances demanded,not because i liked.
